About

Mondonedo brings passion and intensity. In between running his own food business, he takes time out to play golf, go sailing or take photographs. His photography took a more serious venue when he joined the prestigious Camera Club of the Philippines (CCP) in 2002. The CCP holds the distinction of being the oldest camera club in the Philippines, and perhaps in Asia as well.

Billy warmly took the challenge of CCP’s rigorous contest schedule of thirteen contests a year. In only his second year with the club, in 2003, Billy took third place in the clubs most coveted Master Photographer’s title. It was a mean feat by itself but Billy resoundingly surpassed this by taking the Master’s Photographer’s title in 2005.

Due to Billy’s quest to become a total master of his craft, he sought to learn printing so he could not only print his own works but bring the printing to a higher level.

Ultimately he graduated to digital printing. With relentless self-study and research, characteristic of his passion and intensity, his prints somehow caught the eyes of discriminating viewers. This led for a demand to open up his printing for others, as well. He now prints not only his works but also those of other renowned artists and photographers, some of which were used in exhibits in the Philippines and abroad. To suit his fine art level of printing, He is currently using Epson’s top of the line 9800 Series Wide Format printers.

He prides himself with the fact that he works on the prints himself, giving the prints his very own expertise, rather than relying on assistants.

Billy is currently working on a book about Cebu, one of the Philippines’ most historic and progressive cities.

Billy is married to the former Marlene Navarro. Their onlly child, Aziza, is currently in Europe taking up hotel management.
